In 1851 Bilston Creek Farm became one of the first registered settlements of the Hudson’s Bay Company, under the leadership of James Douglas at Fort Victoria, several years before BC or Canada would be founded.

For a century and a half it was farmed by the Witty family, and remnants of that time still remain, from heritage apple trees, to beautiful old barn board, to rusted tools and WW1 trench art found buried in the earth.

When we discovered the farm, it had been left fallow for decades, but we could see the beauty beneath the brambles right away. Those years of wild growth left behind perfect soil for growing lavender, the inspiration for our flagship crop.

Today our vision is to build a farm that will remain for centuries to come, where anyone can come to experience the magic of farming. We hope you’ll be a part of it!

– Andrew Penn & Melanie Penn, Co-Founders

We admire the history of Ka-ky-aakan and Chewhaytsum Peoples, now the Becher Bay Band, whose indigenous knowledge of agriculture, land stewardship and connection with nature have so much to teach us all.

Our line is made with pure botanicals, lavender, honey and apples, all crafted here by hand. Thoughtfully sourced, natural ingredients complement what we grow, harvest and distill on the farm.

We blend ancient traditions, like small-batch alembic copper distillation, to produce quality products that we can we be proud to share. We use them every day in our homes and hope you’ll enjoy using them as much as we do.
