Lavender Wand making workshops! Join your host, as she guides you through the process of making your lavender wand. June is the perfect time to make wands, with lavender freshly cut from our fields. Not only are they cute, they smell divine!

The Workshop

What is a Lavender Wand?

Lavender wands were popular in the 17th and 18th centuries in France, where they were used to scent clothing and linens.

The process involves weaving stems of fresh cut lavender with ribbon to enclose the fragrant flowers. The weaving process involved in creating a lavender wand is relatively simple, and is suitable for ages 10+. The result is a lovely and unique lavender wand that can be used to scent clothes drawers, hang in a closet or display in your home.

Enjoy some time at Bilston Creek Farm, with this unique hands-on workshop. All materials needed will be supplied.
