Meet Your Chefs

Harmony is the word that comes to mind when contemplating Chefs Cristián and Sandi’s food. From forming relationships with farmers to gathering tasty locally sourced ingredients, these talented chefs unify flavours and artful plating for their discerning clientele.

Their diverse resumes leading to the inception of Beaumont Catering show a deep commitment to growth and creativity in the culinary realm. Sandi is from the Pacific Northwest and recognizes her good fortune in having the bounty of everything our region has to offer at her fingertips. She was mentored by Chef David Mincey at Camille’s Fine Westcoast Dining and spent time in the kitchen at The Sooke Harbour House before becoming the executive chef at the beautiful Nimmo Bay Resort. Most recently Sandi was the chef at Bilston Creek Farm’s catering enterprise, Bramble, where she fell in love with the excitement of curated events.

Cristián was born in Chile and grew up in Montreal where his love of cooking and fine foods was formed. He studied at the prestigious ITHQ Culinary Art program, then went on to hone his gift at notable restaurants including Montreal’s oldest (and one of the world’s finest) steakhouses Moishes, Decca 77 under Chef Daren Bergeron and Ferreira Cafe under Chef Marino Tavares in the city’s storied food scene. His move to Victoria where he found a deep appreciation for Vancouver Island’s exceptional local ingredients, cooking beautiful food for Stage, The Union Club and Bramble by Bilston.

Both chefs bring years of experience and commitment to providing not only exceptional food, but exceptional experiences with their shared vision. Designing menus for clients’ special occasions is a chance for showcasing their creativity and bringing the best of Vancouver Island to your table.
